Amnesia’s Half-Century Legacy Meets the Mexican Jungle
The mystical landscapes of Tulum are set to host a historic collision of electronic music cultures. On January 2, 2027, Zamna Tulum will transform into a sanctuary of sound as it welcomes the Amnesia 50 Years World Tour. This landmark event serves as a centerpiece for Zamna’s 10th-anniversary celebrations, effectively bridging the gap between the legendary club culture of Ibiza and the raw, organic energy of the Mexican Caribbean.
Five Decades of Global Influence
For fifty years, Amnesia Ibiza has stood as a pillar of the global dance music scene. Far more than just a nightclub, it has functioned as an incubator for groundbreaking artists and sonic movements that have rippled across the globe. By bringing this world tour to the jungle, organizers are aiming to capture the spirit of discovery that defined the club’s early years.
Rather than relying on simple nostalgia, the tour is designed to evolve the Amnesia ethos. It is an invitation for a new generation of ravers to experience the same intensity of the dancefloor that once captivated the Mediterranean, now reimagined under the canopy of the Mayan jungle.
Zamna’s Decade of Evolution
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Zamna, a flagship project under the Universal Xperience (UX) umbrella. Since its inception in 2017, Zamna has evolved from a localized jungle gathering into a powerhouse of international event production.
The brand’s growth trajectory has been impressive; what began as a niche experience in Tulum has expanded into a global footprint with successful activations across Europe and beyond. Securing the Amnesia 50th-anniversary stop is a testament to Zamna’s influence in the modern festival landscape. As the electronic music industry continues to see a surge in “destination festivals”-with reports indicating that experiential travel now accounts for a significant portion of festival-goer spending-Zamna’s ability to blend high-end production with natural environments positions it at the forefront of this trend.
By merging the storied history of Ibiza’s nightlife with the immersive, nature-centric aesthetic that Zamna has perfected over the last ten years, this event promises to be a defining moment for the 2027 winter season.
