Swedish esports organisation GODSENT has seemingly entered bankruptcy following a decision made by the Malmö District Court on September 2nd, 2025.

According to a Fragbite.se report, the bankruptcy filing was submitted following several months of the organisation struggling with financial problems.

The report from the Swedish publication also reveals that GODSENT’s financial issues date back to Spring 2024, following the loss of a sponsor. As a result, the organisation was approached by the Swedish Enforcement Authority throughout 2025 to collect unresolved debts.

In January 2025, the organisation unveiled a new VALORANT roster along with approval to open a dedicated Counter-Strike High School in Malmö.

The End Of GODSENT

Launched by former Counter-Strike player Markus ‘pronax‘ Wallseten in 2016, the organisation has undergone several periods of turbulence before its recent bankruptcy declaration.

In 2018, the organisation was dissolved after its Counter-Strike players were sold to Swedish gaming and entertainment brand Red Reserve. However, the organisation would reappear in 2019.

Since its debut, Counter-Strike esports has been at the forefront of GODSENT’s esports operations. In 2021, the organisation competed at the PGL Major Stockholm event, scoring a top-24 finish. Its most recent tournament was June’s Svenska Elitserien Spring 2025 LAN, where the team finished third.

Its VALORANT roster last competed in April in Division 1 of the Sweden National League 2025. On April 16th, 2025, the team was set to compete against Still Gamblers, but forfeited the match.

The organisation has not posted on its social media channels since June, following elimination from the Swedish Elitseries i Esport league, where it competed using a roster of temporary players.

At the time of publication, GODSENT has yet to provide an official statement following the bankruptcy ruling. Esports Insider has reached out to the organisation but has yet to receive a response.
